Our superb ride heads north from Annecy and follows the Rhone River, passing villages and rural France, gorges and beauty all the way. These pre-alps roads are perfect for all cycling abilities and before long we will find ourselves on the roads of the Jura Department. The Jura Mountains are between the Rhine and Rhone rivers, north of our famous Alps and also separating France from Switzerland, this region only adds to the stunning beauty and diversity of this area of France.
Both ride distances are offering the unique opportunity of riding the final 25km of the stage route to the Finish Line in Oyonnox including the final climb of the day the Cote d’Echallon (969m). Get ready for the fastest cyclists in the world to hit the streets of Oyonnox and the finish line of today’s stage.

For the fans of the sport these roads of France are where Cadel Evans secured his historic 2011 Tour de France victory and it is also where Armstrong took one of his many Time Trial Victories in 2001.
