Arrival Day in Piedmont and welcome to the Giro d’Italia 2016 and the start of your dream bike tour experience at the foot hills of the Italian Alps! With the excitement building for our first Giro d’Italia 2016 stage tomorrow, we have a great choice of bike routes available as we explore the undulating roads around Barolo. With world class wine around every corner we are spoilt with the very best world class cycling at the same time. It is easy to see why this is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a wonderful region to turn our legs and relax should you wish with a leisurely lunch.
After the perfect ride, reward yourself by spending the afternoon relaxing with local wine tasting or shopping on the streets of Fossano. Tonight is a free evening to explore and dine at your leisure.

After yesterday’s Giro d’Italia super-fast stage finish and a relatively stress –free day for the peloton, today the professional riders will test their legs to the limit with 161km and the Colle dell ‘Agnello before finally arriving in France at the Ski resort of Risoul.
We will feel like pro’s ourselves as we to have a choice of great ride options in the Italian Alps and the view of the Monte Viso all, the way. Monte Viso (3841m) is the highest mountain of the Cottian Alps standing out with its pyramid shape and making it clearly visible from as far away as Milan!
With the Colle dell’Agnello (2744m) the highest peak of the 2016 Giro d’Italia, it has the special award ‘Cima Coppi’ after the Italian Champion Fausto Coppi for the rider cresting the summit first. It could also be your target for the day, a challenge for only the most determined of us or enjoy the climb to the Lago di Castello (1614m) before relaxing over a leisurely lunch the Italian way. An amazing and unforgettable day whichever ride option you decide at the Giro d’Italia…with all the action of the Grupetto live from the roadside.
Day 5 – View Giro d’Italia Stage 20: GUILLESTRE – SANT’ANNA DI VINADIO

The Giro Organisation have left no doubt that the winner of this Giro d’Italia will be a true cycling great! After 3 weeks of racing and yesterdays monument climbing stage they back up with a monster day in the saddle with three giant French Alps all over 2000m before crossing back into Italy and the GPM finish line in Sant anna di Vinadio!
Today we have called this the ‘flexible day’, with the option to take a well-earned rest day from the bike and enjoy the comfort of the support vehicle to witness the atmosphere of a very exhausted Grupetto at the final summit finish of the Giro 2016! You might prefer an easy ride followed by relaxing in Fossano and all the action from the live TV coverage.
