The TDF professionals take on the 17km Mountain Time Trial stage which is not a particularly long distance, although it will certainly test the general classification contenders, especially in this final critical Alps week of the Tour de France. Our own superb ride will be longer than the professionals today but of course at a lot slower and more enjoyable pace as we head into the Grand Alps with the Col des Aravis (1486m) cat 2 – 18.9km @ 5% and the excitement of the Tour de France live.
