What our Giro d’Italia bike tour guests had to say
Giro d’Italia exceptional, my second tour with you guys, and both were great experiences. I love the way you make sure that everyone feels confident that they can get through the rides organised each day. I think that primarily this comes from your ability to assess each rider’s capacity and potential, and work with us to achieve that potential.
On the TDF in 2014, it was me who needed a lot of coaching! If you had told me beforehand what hills I would climb, I may not have had the audacity to attempt them. I think I told Bridget during the Giro Tour, just how much confidence I gained as a cyclist from my time with you guys on the TDF. I think some of it is coaching on the fly, but most importantly I suspect it is your attitude. A calm confidence the route set is achievable, even if it stretches riders like me a lot – in a good way!
It was fabulous to see that your approach hasn’t changes. I’m sure Dylan’s wife Sharon would feel the same way after her Giro experience.
The way you guys look after the riders on your tours is exceptional.
The idea of setting up in One Hotel for the week is great, and our Giro Hotel stay was very comfortable.
I love the way you guys mix the riding with food and wine! Getting to experience different types of restaurants, with their varied offerings enhances the experience. Some of the little out of the way cafes and restaurants were the best. As a tourist you are generally hard pressed to find these gems. PB local contacts definitely add value!
A great week with great people doing something we all love, and the riding was great too!”

We had a wonderful honeymoon at the Giro with Paul and Bridget. The small group allowed for a personalized experience, with individualized advice and rides that were customized for our group’s unique range of abilities. Paul and Bridget are experts at designing routes that are enjoyable for all while also navigating access to the race course. They are truly experts at the complex logistics of curating the ride/race watch experience. The food selection was also incredible. Every day Paul and Bridget found amazing off-the-beaten-path restaurants where we were welcomed like locals.
We also loved the home-base approach to cycling touring. It made the trip far more relaxing than scrambling to pack up every evening. This was one of the main reasons we chose Practice Bicycles and were very happy we did.
