How to Make a Booking
Registering for a Practice Bicycle Tour is easy, flexible, and secure.
- Complete the online registration form and select your preferred payment option.
- Upon receipt of your payment, your tour place is secured.
- Upon receipt of full payment, your tour place is confirmed.
- You will receive your itinerary, arrival information, hotel contact details, and checklist 10 days prior to your tour date.

Payments
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AU$) per person, based on double occupancy.
- Deposit Payment: AU$ 1000 per person, per tour
- Deposit Payment – Custom Bike Tours: AU$ 1500 per person, per tour
- Full Payment: Due 90 days prior to the tour date
- Registrations made within 90 days of the tour date require full payment at registration
- Solo travellers must select the Single Occupancy Room Add‑On
- Registration modification fee: AU$ 250 per change
Registration – Payment Options
Deposit Payment
Pay your deposit by credit card or bank transfer.
PayPal
Make full payment at registration using PayPal’s secure online facility.
Credit Card (Stripe)
Make full payment at registration via Stripe’s secure credit card facility.
To make a deposit payment via credit card, select Deposit Payment and note “Deposit Payment via Credit Card” in the Booking Notes. A separate Stripe email will be sent for the deposit transaction.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your tour for any reason, including medical emergencies, please notify us by email. Upon receipt of your email, the following cancellation fees apply:
- More than 120 days before your tour date: 50% of deposit + transfer fees
- 91–120 days before your tour date: 100% of deposit
- 61–90 days before your tour date: 75% of tour price
- Less than 60 days before your tour date: 100% of tour price
Practicebicycle.com reserves the right to alter or cancel a tour for reasons including, but not limited to, accommodation availability, low enrolment, or circumstances beyond our control. In this situation, we will offer:
- An alternative tour date
- Transfer of all payments to another tour
- A refund of all payments received, minus transfer fees
This refund represents the full extent of Practicebicycle.com’s liability. We are not responsible for additional costs incurred, including airfares or other travel expenses.
Travel Insurance
Personal travel insurance is essential. We strongly recommend comprehensive coverage for tour cancellation, baggage loss, accidents, and health issues. It is your responsibility to ensure your policy is suitable for your individual needs.
Cost Increases
Tour prices are advertised up to a year in advance. Occasionally, increases in exchange rates or supplier costs may occur. In the unlikely event of a price increase, you will be notified as soon as possible.
Liability
Practicebicycle.com is not liable for personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss arising from accidents, cancellations, delays, or circumstances beyond our control.
Participant Requirements
We recommend a medical check‑up to ensure you are fit to participate in your bike tour. An approved bicycle helmet must be worn at all times, and you must ride within your capabilities and behave safely.
We also recommend using a Heart Rate Monitor to enjoy the full health benefits of your cycling experience.
Non‑Cycling Guests
We warmly welcome both cycling and non‑cycling guests on all our Bike Race Tours and Leisure Bike Tours. Non‑cycling guests enjoy the same tour experience and the same tour price, with equal value placed on their enjoyment, comfort, and inclusion throughout the week.
Whether joining as a partner, friend, or dedicated race fan, non‑cycling guests are fully part of the tour community and share the same premium hospitality, support, and attention to detail that Practice Bicycle is known for.
A perfect option for those who prefer a more relaxed pace while still enjoying the atmosphere, scenery, and shared holiday experience.
Custom / Private Tours
Practice Bicycle specializes in personalised cycling vacations. If you are seeking a custom itinerary tailored to your needs, we can design a unique cycling experience operating on dates exclusively for you.
Solo Traveller
We encourage solo travellers to join any of our tours. If a tour does not reach the minimum number of guests, Practicebicycle.com will offer:
- Your registered tour with an additional fee
- Your registered tour on an alternative date
- Transfer of all payments to another tour
- A refund of all payments received, minus transfer fees
Cycling Day Tours
Cycling Day Tours require full payment at the time of booking to secure your chosen date. This payment is non‑refundable, as your guide and equipment are reserved exclusively for you.
If you need to amend your booking, we will always do our best to accommodate a date change, subject to availability. In the unlikely event that Practice Bicycle Tours must cancel due to weather or operational reasons, an alternative date will be offered, or a credit may be applied to a future tour.
