It is highly recommended that you bring your own bike with its familiar position and handling to enjoy your riding experience. Although we understand that this is not always possible depending on your travel plans. For this reason, quality carbon road bike hire, Shimano compact gears 50, 34 x 12,30 suitable for all abilities. is available as an optional extra on all our tour services.
How do I get to Annecy, France?
With a PRACTICEBICYCLE Premium Bike Tour, Airport pick-up and drop-off is included (midday tour arrival & departure days) from Geneva International Airport (Switzerland), which is a short 45 min transfer to Annecy (France). Alternatively a Taxi service is available if you arrive at other times.
To assist you with your travel arrangements then Annecy is easily accessible by all forms of transport;
- By Air the most convenient and direct airports are Geneva (Switzerland) or Lyon (France).
- By Train the super fast (TGV) travels direct from Paris to Annecy in approximately 3hours (bike must be in a case, no bike compartment on the super fast train).
- By Car utilizing the European Autoroute system and finally the A41.
What time should I organise my arrival and departure flights to be collected and dropped off ?
For our Premium Bike Tour guests we suggest that you arrange your flight times around a midday airport pick-up and drop-off. Please let us know if you need to make alternative arrangements at the time of your booking.

Yes, it is a condition of booking a tour that you take out travel insurance and accident cover for the duration of your stay, including full medical insurance.
Our specialty bike race tour weeks include viewing the race on 2 or 3 stages. We believe that this is the perfect ratio of maximising your enjoyment of viewing the race action live, contrasting with your own variety of personally tailored rides and the opportunity of enough time to relax and experience your idyllic location for the week.
What happens if the weather is not good and raining?
We do understand that sometimes the weather can be unpredictable and change very quickly especially in the French Alps, unfortunately we cannot control this situation and for safety reasons don’t encourage the added stress of riding in the rain in the Alps!
For Cycling Day Tour’s wherever possible we try to accommodate any changes or alternatively offer a Cycling Day Tour Voucher.
With our Premium Bike Tours you have the full support of our experienced team including assistance with any of your bike requirements and in addition the services of a professional mechanic are available should it be necessary.

How do I Book and Pay for a Cycling Day Tour?
Using our on-line booking/payment system select the number of cyclists and your required date/s for your Cycling Day Tour including your choice of ride option, on receipt of full payment your Cycling Day Tour will be confirmed.
We suggest that you bring with you on your cycling holiday, exactly what you would use for your regular rides at home. Â Not forgetting your helmet and shoes. We will send you a comprehensive checklist at the time of your booking and closer to your arrival date with us.
We do not include your Travel costs or daily incidentals, you should also allow for the purchase of daily food and drinks. Each bike trip details what is included along with accommodation, breakfast each morning and the range of local dining experiences. Also don’t forget to budget for other daily expenses not outlined in the tour such as sightseeing, shopping etc

• By Air the most convenient and direct airport is Faro (Portugal) also Lisbon Airport offers connecting flights to Faro.
• By Train this good value network travels from Lisbon via Tunes to Portimao in approximately 3.30hrs. With a short 5min taxi to Praia da Rocha.
