Abruzzo the Ideal Live Giro Cycling Destination.

Sensational Abruzzo, your Giro d’Italia cycling destination the untouched region of Italy, the tranquility of the Abruzzo Region, the right place for you to experience authentic Italian living at the Giro d’Italia.
Abruzzo gem of natural beauty. The land is defined by the Apennine Mountains, which pose a grand backdrop to the gently rolling hills that cascade into the Adriatic Sea. The region is home to numerous national parks and reserves and hidden magical villages, extraordinary Abruzzo. Imagine yourself cycling through this coastal nature framed by vineyards and olive trees.
Abruzzo will take your heart with the warm hospitality of its people, and appetizing flavours of its extensive cuisine, join Practice Bicycle for the ride of your life at the Giro d’Italia.

The Giro was my second tour with you guys, and both were great experiences. I love the way you make sure that everyone feels confident that they can get through the rides organised each day. I think that primarily this comes from your ability to assess each rider’s capacity and potential, and work with us to achieve that potential.
On the TDF in 2014, it was me who needed a lot of coaching! If you had told me beforehand what hills I would climb, I may not have had the audacity to attempt them. I think I told Bridget during the Giro Tour, just how much confidence I gained as a cyclist from my time with you guys on the TDF. I think some of it is coaching on the fly, but most importantly I suspect it is your attitude. A calm confidence the route set is achievable, even if it stretches riders like me a lot – in a good way!
It was fabulous to see that your approach hasn’t changed. I’m sure Dylan’s wife Sharon would feel the same way after her Giro experience.
The way you guys look after the riders on your tours is exceptional!
The idea of setting up in One Hotel for the week is great, and our Giro Hotel stay was very comfortable.
I love the way you guys mix the riding with food and wine! Getting to experience different types of restaurants, with their varied offerings enhances the experience. Some of the little out of the way cafes and restaurants were the best. As a tourist you are generally hard pressed to find these gems. PB local contacts definitely add value!
A great week with great people doing something we all love, and the riding was great too!

L’Italia e la bicicletta is excitement, passion, Italian tifosi, May is Giro fun!
Practice Bicycle and their love of Italy Cycling began many years ago on Lago d’Iseo…it’s a ride like no other!

We had a wonderful honeymoon at the Giro with Paul and Bridget. The small group allowed for a personalized experience, with individualized advice and rides that were customized for our group’s unique range of abilities. Paul and Bridget are experts at designing routes that are enjoyable for all while also navigating access to the race course. They are truly experts at the complex logistics of curating the ride/race watch experience. The food selection was also incredible. Every day Paul and Bridget found amazing off-the-beaten-path restaurants where we were welcomed like locals.
We also loved the home-base approach to cycling touring. It made the trip far more relaxing than scrambling to pack up every evening. This was one of the main reasons we chose Practice Bicycle and were very happy we did.
Dylan & Sharon – USA

Our Giro Bike Tour in Italy was absolutely fabulous. First class all the way. Bridget and Paul were amazing hosts. The quality of accommodation, food, day excursions (magnificent wine tasting), cycling, (everything) and care they gave us was fantastic.
We would highly recommend Practice Bicycle Tours to any customers that wish to experience an amazing cycling holiday with their partners. They would have to be the best in the business and know their stuff.
I can’t speak highly enough about how professional they are and how precisely they can tailor to the specific needs of their guests.
Carol, Paul, Margaret & Ray – Australia

Having nearly done every trip on the menu, from every bike race tour on offer, to their luxury trips to their challenging ride weeks PB are exceptional, they are a rare couple and so are their tours! We not only love them as people, they have tailored, personalised, made our many cycling holidays to various Italian locations (including fine food, wineries, bespoke accommodation). If ‘personable’, premium small group riding, relaxing roadside is La Dolce Vita!
John & Cath – Australia

A note of reflection, as Italians (we met Brigit & Paulo) in Abruzzo in spring, we spend many time in Ortona, the Australians who came were noticed everywhere, seemed to bring a presence to Ortona, their time here, sure left a mark on professional toursim in the little town, ‘the certain way’ things to be done! Very shiny bici, bright coloured clothes the colours of sea, very friendly peoples, we take cafe with them, their idea to bring cycling to Abruzzo was fantastico! We hope you have another opportunity to discover oour lands again…grazie mille e bici al sicuro
